What are you doing for Earth Day?
By Judi on Apr 22, 2008 in Contest, Earth Day 2008
Today is Earth Day 2008! What are you doing to celebrate?
For the next 3 days if you leave a comment telling what you are doing this week to celebrate Earth Day 2008 you will be entered in a drawing to win a basket of goodies!
Are you changing your light bulbs? Taking cloth bags to the store? Planting a tree?
It doesn’t matter how small your effort, every little bit helps the earth, so do your part!
Let me know what you are doing and your name will be entered in a drawing on Friday Morning for a great basket of goodies. Natural cleaning products for your home, Natural soap and beauty products, and of course what would a goodie bag be without some organic chocolate and snacks?
So what are you doing for Earth Day?

Nothing exciting today, other than reading the Lorax and some other lessons with the kids. Tomorrow we’re heading to the recycling center.

I took the day off, bought some flowers, and did some work on a compost pile that I’ve been neglecting. We took our baby ducks to the brook for a swim - what a joyful experience. Went to Boston today for a daytrip and couldn’t wait to get home to our house in the country.
I do love my new cloth bags for groceries and can’t believe I haven’t done this sooner. They hold so much more and make hauling the stuff into the house so much easier.

Every year our town hosts a town wide clean-up. We have never been to the festivities, but we do participate. As a family we go around our neighborhood with gloves on and trash bags in hand and we pick up all of the trash that we see. It is amazing, and sad, how much we pick up.
