We all want a clean home, but at what price? I am sure that we do not want to harm our families with toxins that can cause illness and disease, or, even worse; lead to death.
Most parents search high and low for a product that will clean the home without harm. Funny thing is that they miss one main ingredient that is the perfect all purpose cleaner. And it is an expensive yet priceless find.
When I first started using Borax I was using it as a laundry booster and to replace the bleach that I used in my whites. As time went on, I decided to read the box and found a cleaning treasure trove. I had just so happened to be out of baking soda for cleaning the tub and I read that you can use the Borax for the same purpose. So I poured the suggested amount on my towel wet it and commenced to cleaning the tub. Then I discovered that it was good for cleaning the toilet. So I sprayed my tea tree and oregano oil disinfectant in in toilet and added the suggested amount of Borax and scrubbed. I allowed it to sit for th suggested 30 minutes and then I flushed and the toilet sparkled.

When most people think of essential oils, they think aromatherapy. While these oils are great for healing through diffusion and smell, they are just was good for cleaning the home and using on the body.
I think that every home should have tea tree, eucalyptus, lemon, wild oregano, lavender, peppermint, garlic, thyme and sage essential oils. Of course there are hundreds to choose from and a number of ways to to use them, but the ones I have just listed can go a long way. From getting rid of bugs to calming nausea these oils are a home’s best friends.
Most of these oils can be found in your local health food store but make sure they are the purest on the market. We will discuss what to look for in essentials oils at a later date. For now let’s keep focused.
Each one, with the exception of peppermint oil, is anti-biotic and they are all antiseptics which means bacteria must flee in the presence of this elite group.
Lavender is not just for calming but it is also good to get rid of the creepy crawlies in your home. Simply soak a ribbon with the oil and place it near a window, in your closet, or in the cracks and crevices where most bugs find their way into your home. In my home we use a combination of filtered water, tea tree and wild oregano oil as a powerful disinfectant; especially for the bathroom. Garlic and oregano oils are both great for warding off colds at the first sign of sniffles; and tea tree oil is good for tooth aches, just don’t swallow it.

There are thousands of products and treatments available to help improve the quality of your skin, but only a small percentage of these are natural. Most beauty products contain harsh, damaging chemicals. Treatments, like chemical peels and botox, can be scary. On top of it all, we really have no idea what most of these treatments and chemicals will do to our skin 20 years down the road. If you want to have great looking skin without dangerous chemicals or procedures, there is a way.
Here are some great tips to keep your skin looking fabulous the natural way:
- Drink more water. All cells need water to function properly. If your skin cells aren?t properly hydrated, waste products build up in your cells and keep them from working right and looking their best. Also, if you don?t drink enough water, your cells will retain as much as they can and you?ll end up looking puffy and bloated.
- Change your diet. You?ve probably heard the phrase ?you are what you eat? a lot. If you think about it, this old saying is 100 percent true. Your body is made up of what you put into it. If you want it to work properly and look its best, you need to feed yourself the nutrients it needs and avoid foods that may damage it. For beautiful skin, you should try to get more fiber and ?good fats? in your diet and avoid foods with a lot of sugar. In other words leave the Twinkies alone.
