We are moving… again. Since we have started leaving green things like this make us question.
When you think about it, packing is pretty much a green process. While moving boxes can only be used a certain number of times before they break down… yes, I do have a few that are on their last legs. Cardboard and packing paper are all materials that are easily recyclable. Most moving companies will come and pick up your boxes once you are done unpacking them. They will either use them again, or send them to be recycled. Same with packing paper.
If you are moving yourself and wondering what to do with all those boxes and papers you have a couple of different options. You can save them if you have the room for storage. I have done this and it does help the next time you need to move yourself you have the supplies.
I do know that some people just don’t have the storage space. You can set them out to the curb to be recycled. But here is another idea you may not have thought of. Last move I saw someone on freecycle that needed moving boxes and packing paper. My moving boxes helped someone else out… gotta like that!
I have also heard of people selling their moving supplies. People need moving supplies and these boxes are not cheap. If they can get gently used moving supplies they are willing to pay for them.

Remember when doing things green and natural meant you were one of “those” people? You know the ones, the hippies, the ones dressed in tie-dye, the ones that didn’t shower … and the list goes on…
But lately all that is changing. More and more you hear on the news, on the TV how cool it is to be green. How it is the latest thing to do things the all natural way. The way that is better for the environment.
It is now cool to be natural. It is the in thing to be green. But the more we say it, the more it becomes the trend, the more we are left scratching our heads wondering what being green and natural really is. Do we know?
What do we do around the house to make our house a greener house? That is besides forgetting to mow the lawn, last week our puppy was really green!
I want to encourage you to check back regualarly to see what our weekly green tip is. It may be something that you already know, or it may be something that is totally new for you. You just never know do you?

Well it seems to have been a long winter here in Northwest Wisconsin. I don’t know about you, but I am ready for it to warm up just a bit. Don’t get me wrong, I love the cold and the snow, but I am starting to get a bad case of cabin fever.
Lately I have been plotting and planning what I will be planting outside. I am planning the herb garden, the vegetable garden and the flower garden.
What are your spring plans for your home? Are you just itching to get out and plant your garden?
Don’t worry I think that spring is just around the corner, well it is on my calender anyways!
