Spring, summer and the holidays have come and gone. We are smack in the middle of January. As I sit and type this posting, I can look out the window and see the snow coming down. A neighbor tells me it is “like oatmeal to shovel.” I am looking forward to that.
Through all these past months I have really struggled with the direction that I want to take this site. It is near and dear to my heart, but it seems to just hang out and not have a direction.
This morning I was thinking about one of the other things that I struggle. We really want to go organic in this house. (You all hear my Dad calling me a tree hugger, right?)
What is the one of the things that hold you and your family back from going Organic?
As soon as I tell someone that I am going organic, they always ask me, “Isn’t that expensive?”
Well it can be. But the alternatives are much worse.
So what does this all have to do with this site and the direction?
Simple, I want you to join me on the journey to going organic and natural. Let’s see if we can do it without going broke. Let’s see if we can do it and gain back our health and our healthy outlook on life.
What do you think? Are you up for the challenge? Can going organic and natural fit in your budget? I am making a bet that it can!

Remember when doing things green and natural meant you were one of “those” people? You know the ones, the hippies, the ones dressed in tie-dye, the ones that didn’t shower … and the list goes on…
But lately all that is changing. More and more you hear on the news, on the TV how cool it is to be green. How it is the latest thing to do things the all natural way. The way that is better for the environment.
It is now cool to be natural. It is the in thing to be green. But the more we say it, the more it becomes the trend, the more we are left scratching our heads wondering what being green and natural really is. Do we know?
What do we do around the house to make our house a greener house? That is besides forgetting to mow the lawn, last week our puppy was really green!
I want to encourage you to check back regualarly to see what our weekly green tip is. It may be something that you already know, or it may be something that is totally new for you. You just never know do you?

Well it seems to have been a long winter here in Northwest Wisconsin. I don’t know about you, but I am ready for it to warm up just a bit. Don’t get me wrong, I love the cold and the snow, but I am starting to get a bad case of cabin fever.
Lately I have been plotting and planning what I will be planting outside. I am planning the herb garden, the vegetable garden and the flower garden.
What are your spring plans for your home? Are you just itching to get out and plant your garden?
Don’t worry I think that spring is just around the corner, well it is on my calender anyways!
