This sounds like advice your mom would have given you doesn’t it?
It is true though. We are only as beautiful on the outside as we are on the inside. If we are healthy it shows on our faces, in our skin and other tell tale signs.
There are many ways you can get this inner beauty. Don’t sweat it, this is the easy stuff, promise! Here are 3 easy changes you can make today.
#1 – drink more water. Most people suffer from dehydration. Your skin suffers the worst. Dry, itchy skin is not attractive. Simple solution is to drink more water. Notice I didn’t say soda or coffee, but WATER. Water in it’s purest form is what you body needs.
#2 – take those extra steps. Instead of taking the elevator, take the stairs. Take those few moments and get exercise. You don’t have to go to the gym and get a workout, though that is an excellent idea. Just take the time to add more to your routine. Get up and move around.
#3 – get to sleep. Many people are so stressed and work centered that they never manage to get a good night sleep. Learn to tune out and get your 8 hours. Soothing music, an eye mask to block out the light, do what it takes to get yourself a good nights sleep.

One of my children has gone vegetarian. I admire this. I try to eat vegetarian a few times a week myself, but she has taken this on full time. She does eat some, and I use that word very loosely, fish. Maybe twice now in the past 4 weeks.
Eating this way is not for everyone. It does have it’s advantages. Many would argue that our digestive system is not made to digest meat products. It works much more efficiently digesting fruits and vegetables. Meat products, all meat products, are hard to break down. Even going meatless a few days a week, will give your digestive system a break.
That does lead to question though, how do we get all the essential nutrients that we need. While I do not have all the answers, I am learning them. Being a vegetarian is not just about avoiding eating meat. It is learning to eat in a healthier manner that will serve us down the line.
As we learn how to go more vegetarian and more natural in this home, be assured I will be sharing this information with you!

While I don’t think I could live within the strictness of this diet. I certain intend to live within this diet as far as some of its theories.
Their diet is broken down into percentage of what is consumed. The largest two groups of food being 50-60% of fiber and whole grain and 25-30% fruit and vegetable.
There are those who will find fault with these numbers and those that fully endorse them. Let’s break them down a bit.
In recent studies it was shown that only 8% of Americans consumed the recommended daily allowance of whole grains. What is even worse is that 42% of Americans got no whole grains on a regular basis.
Whole grains are full of essential vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids. Studies have shown that consuming the Recommended Daily Allowance of Whole Grains lowers the risk of Heart Disease, Colon Cancer, obesity and Diabetes.
Whole grains add so much to your food. They have much more flavor and texture, not to mention they are full of fiber, which helps to keep things moving along smoothly.
Those on the negative side also have a point. People who implement the Macrobiotic diet often have intestinal issues. If you don’t have enough whole grain and fiber in your diet, and then have it make up 50% of your diet, intestinal issues may be an issue. It will take your system a while to adjust.
